With Marshall on the changing table, Jon stood at his feet, and I at his head. We made funny noises and funny faces. We baby-talked to him. We soaked in all of his coos and squeals and almost-giggles and smiles.

He seemed done. We thought it was safe.

Jon fastened his new diaper. Before he could zip him back into his sleeper…toot!

Jon and I looked at each other and just laughed. Jon said “classic.” So true. Marshall loves to sully a fresh diaper.

While I sure hope that we aren’t talking about Marshall’s pooping habits years from now, there is something really wonderful about being able to say that certain things are just so “Marshall.”

Something else that’s becoming a classic? Marshall sticking his tongue out. We have his daddy to thank for this little bit of adorable.
