Marshall is 1.5 years old today!

1.5 years of hugging, kissing, bathing, feeding, loving, playing, and snuggling him.

Not a day passes that I don’t fall in love with him all over again. When we connect, it is like the very first time on the day of his birth.

I am transported again and again to that moment when he entered the world and my heart was filled to the top with joy and pride.

Nowadays, there is no denying that he is all toddler. Our baby is most definitely growing up.

And he amazes us every single day.

He is fast and loves to be chased. When he runs, he holds one arm out to the side and swings it back and forth as he goes.

He knows all sorts of animal sounds. Roar, moo, meow, baa, nay. He throws his arm up as if it’s an elephant trunk. He beats his chest like a gorilla and waves his arms like a monkey.

He says “momma” and “dadda” all the time now, including times when we’re not around and he’s looking for us.

“Uh oh” is probably his favorite phrase.

He is really great at answering “yes or no” questions, which allows us to have some nice conversations.

He gives kisses, hugs, nosies, fist bumps, and high fives.

He loves to throw balls and rocks.

He waves “bye-bye” to everyone and everything (including his penis at the end of diaper changes).

He loves to dance and clap his hands.

His favorite things include the vacuum, my cell phone, and lights–especially if they’re attached to ceiling fans.

It has been an incredible 1.5 years. We are having such a blast watching him grow and explore and learn. We feel so lucky to have him in our lives.

Love you bunches, Marshall!
